Our Roots
Here at the Sigma Phi Society - Alpha of NY, we believe that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support. Since our Chapter's founding on the Fourth of March, 1827, we have made an impact to thousands of young men throughout the years. The core beliefs behind our efforts, including Brotherhood and F.L.T., is to bring passion to the range of activities we’re involved in. These activities include maintenance and upkeep of our current "Nest" for Wandering Birds - 10 Union Avenue, mentor-ship and support to the Actives, as well as keeping in touch with our Alumni members.
The Alpha of NY Alumni Board is simply a collective of Brothers from various eras who seek to help promote and maintain Sigma Phi's values through 2027 and for the following 200 years! Through all of our endeavors we hope to display the conviction behind Sigma Phi's core beliefs.

Chapter Operations, Thrice Illustrious Rituals and Support of our Undergraduates in Today's College Environment
At Sigma Phi Society - Alpha of New York Alumni Chapter, "The Alpha of Alphas", we are dedicated to supporting our Active Chapter in an ever-changing college environment, especially under COVID-19 and the challenges our country faces today.
While the college landscape and fraternities have changed dramatically, the Alpha of NY Alumni Chapter remains steadfast in its support of our Actives and providing mentor-ship, guidance, as well as various resources.
RENEWED FUNDING AND ALUMNI SUPPORT
Support of Required 10U Capital Expenditures and other Strategic Initiatives
With this initiative, our goal is to support and promote a physical space which all Wandering Birds can be proud of. 10 Union Avenue is not only home to three undergraduate brothers, it is the landing place for Sigma Phi Alumni to stop in and visit to their Alma Mater - Union College.
